Cool Aquatic Eco-Systems private sale for Reefland members

Just wanted to pass along a note I received from Ian over at Aquatic Eco-Systems. Recently a member of this forem was able to secure a group buy from hm on the Ampmaster 3000 pump for a really great price. Ian called me and asked if I could post a private sale for Reefland members.

Here is the details from Ian. I hope posting this does not violate any policies, if so I am sorry and will retract.

Dear Mike Walsh:

This e-mail is in regards to the conversion we had prior to this
e-mail. As a form of gratitude to you and the people that purchased the
Amp Master 3000 through reefland.com and others interested, we are going to
discount 15% off the total amount, on your next purchase through our Web
from now until midnight on Friday June 1st eastern time. In order for this
to be possible you would need to enter the Pass code number 468523 on the
last page under the coupon code blank. What it would do is, it will adjust
it to were you may be able to see the amount that you have saved. Once
again, it is important that you enter the code number 468523 in the Coupon
code blank on the last page so that the 15% discount may take place. If you
would be so kind as to Post this on your bulletin we would really
appreciate it. Again, offer is only good from now until midnight June 1st
eastern time and the coupon is redeemable on Web purchases only.Thank you
much for your time. Should you have any questions, please feel free to
contact me. Have a nice day.

Hi Batman, how's your new tank coming?

If we had any policies, I could see how it might violate them, but since we don't actually have any policies that are posted yet, I guess it's kinda like free advertising.

I think I'll move it to the For Sale or Trade forum just in case, but this one is probably what would be considered commercial under most guidelines and probably wouldn't even be allowed in the For Sale forum of most boards. The reason is that most boards would consider it free advertising for a regular hobby market vendor, but this is such a fuzzy area that we need to wait for Scott Z. to post some guidelines, which he might do once he gets his new board up and running. P.S. - Moved to For Sale or Trade forum.

P.P.S. - Well, that didn't work. Looks like I just lost a star again.

Hi all,
I just thought that I would point out that reefFanatic is selling this pump for $270, which appears to be $20 off,
and Lifereef has it for $279 which appears to be the regular price. Aquatic Eco-Systems regular price of $329 does not seem to make the deal all that great unless you go for the quantity price of 3 or more at $307 each. Then the discount is pretty good. I am in no way bashing the pricing of Aquatic Eco-Systems. I am simply pointing out what I have noticed since I have been actively pricing this pump for the last couple of days. It is great that a retailer is willing to give a group discount to Reefland members and I applaud them for recognizing that we are a valuable customer.
