180G tank for sale, Orlando, $100, pictures!

Hi,

I have a 180G for sale. It is in pretty rough shape, although
it has never leaked. I bought it from a local fish shop. It was

a display tank that they recently replaced. It is pretty scratched up,
and the trim has some liquid nails type glue on it where it had
wood trim glued to the outside of the plastic trim (this is the
method I would use to cover it up if I were setting this tank up).

I have stripped the silicone to reseal it but haven't resealed
it yet. If resealed it will hold water fine as far as I know.

After resealing it would be great as a large sump,
a grow out or LR curing tank for lfs or ???

It could also be used for a large reptile with no resealing.

It is drilled for an end overflow. It is ready for
three 1" bulkheads. Note that the acrylic overflow
is NOT included - I broke it while it was off the tank

I am tired of it sitting in my garage, so I just want to
sell it for $100 (firm).

These pictures show the whole tank and the
glue and scratch issues...

You can email me. Just use my user name here then "@cfl.rr.com"

What are the dimensions on the tank and when you say it is ready for 3-1" bulkheads do you mean the actually overflow is 1" and the 2 returns are 1" as well, if so where are the return holes, in the o-flow box? I might be interested....let me know if you still have it

The tank is 72"x24"x24".

The acrylic overflow piece is not in the tank anymore (see my first post for explanation). You would have to make or buy one for it. But inside the original overflow area there are three holes drilled in the bottom glass. The actual hole diameters are 1.75". So each hole will accept a 1" sch 80 bulkhead. Personally I would set it up with two 1" drains and one 1" return that tees off inside the overflow area. That way your drains are more likely to keep up with the return pump, and less likely to get clogged.

You can email me directly at my forum username then @cfl.rr.com

Hey sorry I cant email ya, something funny is going on w/my email right now. I actually was thinking of making all three holes drains. I just dont know if I will have room enough for the standpipes, how much space (distance is there from each hole, any chance you can take a topogrophy snapshot of the holes? Are you a member of ORCA and if so do you know Russell Whitney? I may just have him pick it up for me and paypal ya the money if this sounds like what I want.

Hi Rocky, depending on how big of an overflow you put in it, you could do three dursos where one goes "forward" and one to each side or something. I think I have the hole layout drawn up - I'll dig something up for you...

Here's a diagram of the holes... If doing three drains the center durso could be rotated a bit rather than sticking out straight along the tank axis. Or you could do three stockman standpipes.

Tank is sold. Check the ReefCentral Forums, there is a local club in Orlando called ORCA and they have a forum on ReefCentral. There are always large tanks for sale... Here's a link
http://reefcentral.com/forums/forumd...?s=&forumid=48

Thanks,
Randy
