I am in need of a single mh light set up
My lights that I was going to buy fell through. I am in need of a mh light in the 70 - 250 watt range. It is for my 25 gallon mini reef. Right now it has 130watt pc lights, but needs an up grade badly. I am open for parts or the whole set up.
Thanks Matt |

Re: I am in need of a single mh light set up
Please don't take this wrong... BUT... I would stay away from a 250MH for that size of tank. I had 2 of the 250 MH on a 55 and my chiller ran all the time. Have you looked into T-5 lighting? Great light and less power consumption. A few bucks to invest, but from the result I'm seeing, worth it. My 300 in the making will have the T-5's. There are retro's for the T-5's that I'm sure will work great if you have a hood. If not, your looking at a "bleed you dry" fixture. If you go the T-5 route, be sure to have a fan or two blowing across the bulbs. It increases the life.
