berghia fs or trade

I have a batch of berghia that will be ready real soon. I am willing to consider some trades, also selling them to support my expensive aquarium habits or my wife will cut me off ;). Pm me if you want me to contact you in the next week or so when they are ready to go. I will not ship any that arent more than 1/4". That seems to be the smallest shipping size that ppl sell them. I will hold some back to get larger if you want.

Hey Bill. I did a bit of research a while back so I would be prepared if I ever had an aptasia problem. I read that berghia only eat aptasia and starve without it.

Well how large is your tank? The adult berghia i have will consume a good size aiptasia almost everyday. It is true that they only eat aiptasia, so once they have done a wonderful job ridding your tank of the pest most people will pass them off to a friend or give them to their lfs for free or for trade. I have given them to people and had them reproduce and be passed around for years. They are also pretty hardy and a pleasure to have in your tank for a while. I believe they are hands down the best remedy for aiptasia, and when they are done doing their job, you will have no problem finding them another good home. At 1/4" they are $10, around 1/2 they are $16. They grow very fast, but i have to charge so much more for larger ones as they really stress my aiptasia cultures. If you get 1/4" juvenilles they often grow to adult size in a few weeks. Mine tend to top out at 1.25~1.5" and have a very strong foot.
