Anyone willing to part with some macroalgae???
Hi Everyone,
I am looking for some macroalgaes to add to my tank...again. My Coral Beauty ate all of the red Tang Heaven and feather algae. And some of the small spots of other algae just seemed to die off????? All my parameters are OK though. So I am willing to pay for shipping, if anyone has an abundance of macroalgaes that they are willing to part with please let me know and also what kind you would be willing to part with. Thanks, CaptK |

Can you recommend a good book for identifying macro algeas? I live in Hawaii and can collect whatever I want but don't know which types will do best in the aquarium. If you help me ID what is out here I'll ship whatever you want for just the shipping costs.

A pretty good book is The Marine Atlas Vol. 1. It covers many macroalgaes. Another good source is wetwebmedia Probably you have alot of red macoralgae, which is gracilaria or tang heaven. There is also a green variety. Your best bet would be probably the marine atlas vol. 1. If you have any pics then I could probably identify alot of the algaes you collect.
