Posting pics is easy. After taking them do the following; 1. Load them unto your computer in a photo editor such as Paint Shop Pro. 2. Resize them to a max size of 102,400 bytes. 3. Come to this "Post Reply" window, scroll down a bit and you will see the "attach file" area just below "options". Click Browse and find your file on your computer and highlight it, click OK and your in. One word of caution........ if you preview your post your image may be dropped. So, after loading your image just click "submit reply". That's all there is to it. Good luck posting pics and selling the tank. I use a Mavica 95, what's yours?

illl get to the hole in the wall story in miniute once i finish posting the pics.
this one shows the over flows which are segmented into three chambers. the middle chamber has the downs to the sump in the basement. the ones to the front and back are in tank refugiums with ther returns comming up through those chamberrs. the center return in the middle of the side of the tank is for a return for a recirculation..the thought was to plase a pump for the closed loop recirculationin the center chanber of this over flow. the onther end of the tank is the same . hereis an example of the clarity which starphire offers. the front of this tank is one inch thick..
its ultra clear and close to the clarity of acrylic..i beleive i post specs on that a while back..difference is like 3-5 percent? sorry forgot to rotate the pic. note the camera focus is a little off since i was close to the glass but you get the idea. story on the large hole in the wall..... had to keep opening large enough to manuaver this giant onto the stand and into the wall. plan is to frame it up and dry wall around it . will frame the top so that four raised pannel cabinet doors swing open above the tank for access to the front. there is access to the room that houses the tank from the back.

here is a shot from the back of the tank showing the bracing attached to the wall above and the ceiling..this stuff works great for raising and lowering lights and resetting pendents to different locations.

I'm in Chicago and I am looking at getting a big tank like this.
How much does it weigh? This is how you post pictures: 1. Save the picure as a "name.jpg" file. 2. go down to the reply page where it says attach file: 3. Hit the browse button and locate your picture 4. Attach it and then submit the reply. $3,500 is steep, I need to physically see it. Where approximately are you in Chicago? |

i'm about 20 minuites north of chicago in northbrook. this is weekend traffic i'm talking about.
this tankis made out of starphire and is custom made..even a standard tank from oceanic at this size i beleieve is more. and thats with standard glass. and would have a one inch front and would show a heavy green appearance. ask on this bb its not a bad price. and depending on time and other factors might be a couople of hundered less. it was design with a lot of thought. |

I'm in Orland Park. I will talk to my better half and see if we can fit it in the house next to my other five tanks.
If the wife says ok, can we come over and see it sometime on the weekend. |

naser you have a point that i keep going over in my mind...yes just fill the sucker and get it going and frame in the wall. also, although it was originally suppose to be 31 inches and turned out to be 25 high i may be better off. but then again i waited a long time to get to this point.. twenty plus years.., see there i go again cant decide.
still working on getting the sump room donwstairs in the basement up and running..anyone have comments on how to drill a 300 gallon rubermaid tub.???? |
