looking for a tiny heater under 25 watts

looking for a tiny heater under 25 watts

Need a tiny heater for a 1 gal freshwater planted tank. Not the typical 25 watt submersible type.

I had one in the past, but melted outside of the tank on me: The type I am looked for is about the size of a tube of lipstick (for lack of a better description!), is non-adjustable with lead bb's inside around the element & a plastic cover.

Any help would be appreciated.

I went to walmart today and saw these small heaters... DO NOT USE THEM
Right on the box ot says to not put hands into the aquarium while unit is pluged in, upon further inspection (opening the box) I notice that the heater is not sealed..... AT ALL!!! I removed the plastic collar and took the element OUT and just had and element in one hand and the PLASTIC tube in the other

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but I am looking for a smaller one also

Doesn't surprise me. Mine melted in about 30 seconds after taking it out of the tank.

i'm going to experiment with the tiny powerhead/filter it came with and the lights on timers to see if they will sustain a reasonable tempature. I'll try it in my laundry room, wchih maintains a temp in the low 60's.

If not, maybe I'll just pick up the smallest titanium heater I can find: costly, but will give the look I want, and a remote temp controller. The thing would click on for about 6 seconds ata time to maintain heat in there!

Thanks

Ken
