FS: Kent Marine RO/DI
I have dissassembled my 55 gallon reef tank, so I am now selling my RO/DI unit. It is a Kent Marine Maxxima Hi-s RO/DI, 35 g.p.d. It was bought last Spring from Premium Aquatics.
As far as usage, it's hard to guesstimate it. They say it all depends on the local water quality on how long the filters last. The main membrane should definately be good, it supposedly lasts 3 to 5 years, and that's the most expensive one, like $70. The others are pretty cheap, the RO cartridge is $6, the carbon block cartridge is $14, and the DI cartridge is $30 (prices from www.premiumaquatics.com ). I used this filter for top off water (about 5 gallons a week) and for water changes ( about 15+ gallons every 2 1/2 months. I bought the filter back in the Spring, I'm guessing around March, give or take. If I had to guess, I would guess around 200 to 250 gallons worth of usage. But like I said, the life of the filters all depends on local water quality, and life of filters varies greatly. I had noticed no changes with the water I was getting from the unit. I wasn't testing it, but, my algea had all but dissapeared for the last 6 months, and my corals and fish were doing very well. What the quality of my local water is, I have no idea. I will take $120 including shipping (money order only please). I will ship via USPS 2-3 day Priority mail. If you are interested, you can email me at landmarkjtp@aol.com Thanks, Jeff ![]() [ March 06, 2002: Message edited by: Polyak ] |
