i have some nice power compact ballasts, wanted something for my new 18gal nano and got a good deal on a lot of them so stocked up. these are universal voltage so can be run anywhere from 120v to 277volt, the have a built in microprocessor for soft lamp start, extended lamp life, and a built in surge protector where the ballast will shut down if it encounters voltage spikes. the have push-in conectors for easy wiring. the are light weight plactic housing for moisture applications weigh about 1/3rd of a lb. and are small so can fit in most canopies.
