Has anyone ever tryed buying the fish from the internet? I am afraid to try because I don't want a dead fish coming in my mail. I would think they would die of stress.

Sure, lot's of people order via the internet for a greater selection and typically a better price. Shipping on an animal is a bit stressful but not to the point it is fatal unless the fish is already in bad shape or something bad happens while in transit.
It is completely safe to order online and have a fish or coral shipped, the important thing to note is the temperatures of where it is shipping from and to. If it is going to get too cold overnight then it isn't a good idea to ship. The online supplier you are planning on using should be very helpful when it comes to making this decision. Most sites have an arrive alive policy. Research the vendor first before you spend the money. Use a credit card with a low limit and you should be fine.
