looking for protein skimmer

Got a 30 gal and a 5 gal SW tank. I need a protien skimmer for the 30 and 5 gal thank. What do your recommend? What brand? ranging from 100-200 dollar.

You don't need a skimmer on either tank especially the 5 gal, water changes on tanks that small is more than enough to keep water quality up. If you do want a skimmer for the 30 than I would look at Euro-Reef, they are very efficient and quiet.

I would go with a lee in tank counter current skimmer. They have them listed on the Dr Foster web site fo between $20-$30. You will need a limewood air diffusor, which need to be replaced every month or so. Check i out.

Got a used bak pak 2 for $45 plus shipping. It was cracked in the middle but repaired with weld on. It works perfectly, maxi jet pump included. LMK
