Please refresh my memory, how old is your tank?

As far as the fish, it is common that a fish in an established system will be territorial when a new fish is introduced; there isn't a whole lot you can do. Feed the fish, turn out the lights and see what happens tomorrow.

Regards,
Scott Z.

What kind of water is your lfs selling you? Is it RO/DI or straight from the sink? If it is RO/DI ask when the last time he changed his filters was. If you are getting diatoms after every water change , my guess would be you are importing something in with the water.

For your aggressive fish:
Get a small in-tank refugium and stick your aggressive guy in there for a few days.
You can find a pretty cheap, but good quality in tank refugium at www.amekaaquatics.com

Thanks for you help guys, I acutally did what scott said and just put some food in there, turned off the lights and hoped for the best, everyone is getting along great now, i re-arranged the tank lastnight, put some rock figures in and new gravel, it looks great, and the fish are happy, im just hoping it doesnt turn brown in 3 days again, if so I will be back LOL
