first of all im not sure a 5 gal tank is big enough for a clown fish, i have a 10 gal wich has been cycling for about a week, and it had 1 damsel in it, and im planning on getting 1 false percula, and if anyone would care to comment or give an suggestions please do so.

You shouldn't keep a clownfish in a 5-gal tank. You could keep a Neon Goby in one, but that's the only fish I can think of right now that might survive in a 5-gal tank. And their natural lifespan is less than 2 years anyway.

Clownfish are omnivorous and should be fed a varied diet that includes fresh seafood and plant material. Brine shrimp are not very nutritious but soaking them in vitamins first helps. You should be able to feed Formula One and Formula Two, plus frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, frozen squid, sinking shrimp pellets, and flake food -- both the spirulina stuff and the meaty stuff.

What size is your clownfish and is he captive-bred or wild-collected?
