Final Preperations...any thoughts??
So I have reached the setup stage for my tank. My setup includes:
29 Gallon Tank Remora Pro skimmer 100 watt submersible Visitherm 30" CustomSealife PowerCompact 20 lbs live sand 25 lbs aragonite sand Penguin 1140 Powerhead 40 lbs of live rock My plan: Fill the tank up and to the right specs, run the powerhead for a day. Put in the sand (live on top) Order the live rock and cycle Now for the questions!!! How does that sound? Am I forgetting anything? When do I start the skimmer? Do I need another powerhead and where do I position the one I have? thanks for all the help. |

Hey niners... Sounds like a plan. I would put the powerhead away from the skimmer return. Maybe 1/2 up behind your rock? That way you have 2 sources of current. As soon as you add the rock start the skimmer.
