I would say you could keep a pair. BUT 10 gallons is aweful SMALL!!! Usually it takes a more experienced reefer to keep a small tank going. You would be better off in a 29, or ideally 55 gallon tank. Things happen more slowly in a larger water volume, thats why alot of us have 55 gallon SUMPS, just to increase the volume of water in our systems, and of course make room for a BIG OL Protein Skimmer!!!!
I would say it is possible, but I would agree that bigger is better. Like Poseidon said a 10 gallon salt tank is usually kept by a more experienced hobbiest. That said I am not saying you cannot do it.
It is possible to keep a small clownfish in a 10-gal tank but it would be a little small for one long-term. A better minimum size for an adult clownfish pair (either Amphiprion ocellaris or A. percula) would be 20 gallons. The larger clownfish species require 40 gallons.
