Question livestock

hey!

i just have some questions about what kind of livestock i can hold in a 10 gal tank. first of all i was looking around and i saw a Pink Tip Haitian Anemone - (NG), and i need to know if this species will be able to survive in a 10 gal, if i provide the proper light, and i guess space is the most important issue and that is what i need to know. Also, about scarlet hermit crabs, about how many should be kept in a 10 gal tank? i found these species on www.saltwaterfish.com, also i was wondering if a 10gal tank could support, a couple of fish, an anemone, crabs, and some live rock/sand. thanks for whoever cares to comment!

I don't think the anemone would be a good choice in such a small tank. The crabs you'll have to decide for on your own but be aware they can cause problems, especially if you have snails in your aquarium. The best bet is to do a search for hermit crabs or blue leg and see what you come up with.

Live Rock and sand will be fine in your tank (actually good) and the only limitation you have is how much you can/want to fit in.

For fish, consider a Royal Gramma and a very colorful fish for your 10 gallon.

i agree with REEFLAND, he knows his fish and inverts. the anemone is gonna be trouble, and the scarlet can be too, especially if you want some snails. the blue leg hermits are good because they dont get as large. you're gonna want to wait on inverts for your tank because they cant tolerate high nitrate levels too well. take it slow, the store will always carry what you want, and if they dont have it that day, give it another week or two.

I'd stay awy from the Anemone, the lighting required for it to do well would also heat the water WAY to much in such a small volume tank.
