New Angel Book
Just to inform everyone that the 5th installment of the TMC Marine Fish Family Series by Debelius, Kuiter, and Tanaka has been released. It covers Angelfish and is every bit as comprehensive as the previous editions. As usual, a few never before seen species are included in the photography and, in case your whistle needs even more whetting, there are quite a few unusual color morphs of the more common stuff. ISBN #: 0-9539097-5-1. Enjoy.

Do you have the previous books, too? I just ordered his book on Rainbow and Fairy Wrasses today from Marine Depot and I almost ordered the one on Surgeonfishes at the same time but I didn't because I have Scott Michael's Volume One and Volume Two was supposed to be released the end of this month but Microcosm pushed it back to the end of May. Neither Volume One nor Volume Two covers wrasses or surgeonfishes and at the rate that Microcosm publishes, I could be long gone before they get all four volumes into print. So, do you like the other books Rudie put out and, in particular, should I add the one on surgeonfishes to my order before Marine Depot ships today? Thanks! ![]() P.S. -- I just checked back with Marine Depot's website to see which books in that series they have in stock and it looks like they have only three: The ones on Fairy Wrasses, Seahorses and Surgeonfishes. So what are they missing besides the new one on Angelfishes? P.P.S. -- I just called Marine Depot and added the volume on surgeonfishes to my order. I hope that was a good move? ![]()

I have them all and, as someone who appreciates both photography AND fish, I've made them some of my favorite eye candy books. I believe the 'missing' volume is entitled 'Butterfly and Bannerfishes".
Next to this one, the volume on Surgeonfish is probably my favorite. I can't wait until they cover the various Wrasse families. |
