yellow tang

ive been looking around at different LFS's and online, and i was just curious if a small yellow tang would be good in a 30gal (almost square) tank? also if it would do well with the 2 ocellaris clowns i have? thanks!

the yellow tang would be too big for a 30gal. they need alot of surface area for swimming, and in a 30 cube, it wouldnt give it ample room for swimming. you might just want to put the 2 clowns, a royal gramma, and maybe a small 6 line wrasse. but the tang is a no no. I'd say a 55-75g minimum for a yellow tang.

yup I think Gobbies would be cool. Also you can look at Blennies, like a scooter. They are cool fish to watch. Also after your tank has been up a while and you have lots of rock a Green Spotted Mandarin would be cool.

dont get a mandarin though they need at least 100 lbs of rock, to survive even if your tank has been up a year.

A jawfish would fit perfect in your tank if you have at least a 3 inch sandbed and covered tank. Hes one of the funniest fish i have owned.
