bye bye trigger

so whats up fellas. i decided today that i'm gonna get rid of hummahumma trigger. i feel bad, since he's been my pet for about a year now, but he does me no good if i want some snails and clean up crews. there is a small LFS that specializes in SW fish up the street from me, and today he said it would be cool to trade him for some store credit. give him a good home hopefully. i'm probably gonna get rid of the lunare wrasse too, i figure he'll probably be a problem with the snails and such. i'm gonna do some less agro fish, kind of sick of not having any inverts in the tank. the trigger lately has been being super mean, killing my dom. damsel and fiji tomato clown, also my psuedocromis who lived with him for over a year in my old tank. I might just run my tank fish less for 6 weeks or so, since I just battled ich, i figure it'll be good just to be safe. does anybody think it'll be possible to put any type of mushroom or polyp under NO lights? I have 2 10,000k's and 1 Actinic03. someone said it might be possible if i put them high on the rock work, but i'm not sure, and i dont want to waste money if they'll die. anyway, it probly wont be for a while. i'm gonna let the tank sit for a few weeks. any input, comments, suggestions would be cool and appreciated. thanks

You can grow mushrooms under N.O. lighting with no problems . They will grow under a wide variety of lighting . The polyps will grow also , although a bit slow, but you will probably find they do best up closer to the top of the tank.

You can grow most corals under NO if you have enough of them.
I use 8 40w NO's on my 90g reef. However, I have a 20g tank with two 20w NO's that houses greenstar polyps, pompom xenia, and a short tentacle green plate coral.
Actually, I wish I hadn't introduced mushrooms to my tanks because they can overrun the system in time. Xenia will do the same if left uncontrolled.

With the lighting you have at the moment, you have to stick to mushrooms, green star polyps, xenia placed high in the tank, and possibly leathers placed high in the tank. If you add another 3 lights you can go to some of the LPS corals like brains and hammers. (I'm assuming the lights are a minimum 40 watts of light per lamp) If you go with 8 - 40 watt lamps you can have just about any soft coral or LPS.
