Other options for live sand?
After doing some research, apparently southdown sand is not available at the HDs on the West coast?
Any other options? Went to the lfs today and not too enthused about spending $25 for 20 lb of live sand. Was thinking if I can find some other "regular" sand and then seed it with 1 or 2 bags of live sand? Any suggestions? BTW, I am now leaning toward a 100 gal acrylic tank with twin overflows in the corners as well as internal returns. Nate |

Nate,
The other options are Carib-Sea and ESV oolitic sand; both being sugar sized. The down fall is the cost, probably around $30 for 40-50lb sacks. Scott Z. |
