hehe...More Hippo Tang questions
I know they are "jumpy" fish and scare easily but mine is VERY timid. She spends almost all day hiding behind a large rock. It took her 3 hours after the lights came on today to peak her head out. I figured 24-48 hours & she would start to feel comfortable. I just got home and she is now "gilling" very hard and darting back & forth along the back wall every few minutes & stirring up the sand floor like mad.
She did eat this morning so that was promising. I realize a lot of this bahavior is quite typical of her species & I am probably over reacting a bit. One book I have says it can take up to 2 weeks for them to fully acclimate to their surroundings. Can anyone shed a little more light on this? Thanks, Mark |
