Hi guys,
Its been about 11 days since I set up my 55 gal fo tank. I am cycling my tank with fish and a crab and I wanted to know if it is to late to add LR to my tank? I just wanted to add about 3 to 5lbs. Will the LR start my cycle all over again or help speed it up? One more question, if the LR is a benifit how do I add it to my tank? Is it the same as adding fish? Thanks, Mo |

Mo,
Cycling a tank with fish is cruel and should not be practiced. ![]() You can add the liverock to your tank as long as it is fully cured. Fully cured will not slow the cycle, but 3-5 lbs isn't going to speed it up either. To add it to your tank, just put it right in. There isn't no need to acclimate it like is done with a fish or coral. Scott Z. |
