Hi guys,

Its been about 11 days since I set up my 55 gal fo tank. I am cycling my tank with fish and a crab and I wanted to know if it is to late to add LR to my tank? I just wanted to add about 3 to 5lbs. Will the LR start my cycle all over again or help speed it up? One more question, if the LR is a benifit how do I add it to my tank? Is it the same as adding fish?

Cycling a tank with fish is cruel and should not be practiced.

You can add the liverock to your tank as long as it is fully cured. Fully cured will not slow the cycle, but 3-5 lbs isn't going to speed it up either.

To add it to your tank, just put it right in. There isn't no need to acclimate it like is done with a fish or coral.
