A snowflake eel would work. If you want a predatory tank, one of the hamlets, or perhaps a dwarf lion, although they can be difficult to wean on to prepared foods.
It aint' pretty being easy.
well I may not do a pred tank.. but I just thought having an eel would be awsome... never heard of a hamlet and I dont want a lion becuase I dont want to worry about the sting.. I have a bad heart and I am affriad of what the sting could do to me..
otherwise I may just go to a non pred setup..

Eels are interesting but can be largely inactive most of the time. Most will find shelter under rocks, etc, and spend the day with their heads poking out. At feeding time, they are pretty spectacular, but then go back to their dens. You'll sometimes catch them exploring the tank, but usually after lights out.I appreciate your concern about the lion, but stings are rare, and these fish are really not aggressive. You just need to know where the fish is if you have to place your hand in the tank, which shouldn't be too often.

ok now is there any certian eel in whihc would work well in a 5g for lif? and also is there an eel which I should not have to worry abotu them picking off my other fish.. or will all eels eat any fish they can get in their mouth?
as for the lion I really want one.. and I was thinking of a fu-man or a antenatta

Those dwarf golden eels are great think stay under 8 inches they are true dwarfs . I imagine you meant 55 gallon tank. I saw 2 in a pet store bright yellow real pretty but $300 each .
They can be kept together to a few would be nice in a 55 and to small to bother your lion not sure if lion would try to gulp them.
they are called scientific name Gymnothorax melatremus
