Need recommendations for new additions

My 100-gal FOWLR has been set up now for about 2 months. So far, I have six blue chromis, two perc. clowns, a sleeper goby and three pep. shrimp along with about 30 snails (astea/narcissus)

Since I used almost fully cured LR my cycle time was really short. Put the chromis in first and added the other three weeks later. All parameters are good (traces of am, no trites, low trates), sg 1.028, ph 82. 2x60 PC lights.

What else can I add? I definitely want to add at least a yellow tang, but what else? All the research I've done said that the inverts. might be in trouble with some the fish on the wish list.

Flame Angel?
Yellow and Blue tang?

What about other creatures like feather dusters or star fish? Any other suggestions?

The tank is looking pretty bare.

Nate,

With your current fish, you shouldn't have a problem with inverts. I think the Flame Angel would be a cool addition but you should probably wait a couple of more months before adding one, they need to be in aquariums at least 6 months old. The yellow tang would be fine however I think there are much more attractive fish available in the tang family; I like the Scopas and the Achilles Tangs (very delicate fish) myself however that is a personal preference.

What kind of blue tang are you talking about?

One thing I've noticed in my tanks. I can put a feather duster in at the beginning. But once certian fish like yellow tangs are in I can not.

Optimally, I would love a purple tang, but I also want a yellow and I have a feeling they probably wouldn't get along as both are from the same genus.

I would be looking at a royal tang. I've seen the scopas at my lfs, but they appear kinda drab. Do they color up later? Basically what I'm looking for is color in the tank. That was the main reason to get into saltwater was the fish are much more colorful than freshwater.

I would definitely wait a few more months before adding a flame - thanks to this site - everyone says wait until at least 6 months. Done.

So, if I had a feather duster in there before adding the tangs, it (they) would be ok?

That has been my experience with yellow tangs.
