    Lionfish

    Hi,
I was in this hobby some years ago and had a lionfish for about 3 years.
Now I am getting back into it and bought a lionfish, the problem is he lays around during feeding time and does not eat. (prawn shrimp) He is hunting the clownfish at nite and I am just hopeing he will learn to eat the prawn if he gets too hungry.
His personality is much different than my last one and I'm figuring he was raised on live food and doesnt want to eat anything else. Has anyone had this problem before and can he adapt to the prawn.
    Thanks, Joe

    Hi paganz, welcome to Reefland!

He will eventually eat the clownfish if it is small enough to fit in his mouth.

i also had lion that was stalking my clownfish. could of easily ate it if the clown got close.
i got him to stop by feeding it freeze dried shrimp at first, then i used frozen brine and other types of frozen foods. I had then setup like that for well over a year until i sold the tank. I put the shrimp on a skewer right near the lions mouth then wiggled it so the shrimp fell off. The lion took it everytime.

don't know what other people think, but it worked for me.
Never argue with an idiot, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ok, Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try. Have a good one!
