Fish are looking bad

Hi,
Maybe someone has seen this before. My fish are starting to loose their color and vibrance. They are getting a white velvety look to them. And my lionfish's eyes are turning white. Some of them still eat, but now some dont, I'm sure it cant be good but I never seen this outbreak before. All of my parameters are good nitrate<10ppm ph 8.2 s.g. 1.022 temp 78. 4 weeks ago my dogface puffer (who was new) developed a cyst and died, I hope it was not a parasite that may have infected the whole tank, but I dont think it would have taken 1 month to redevelop would it?

Thanks,Joe

Just as a suggestion, you can mix their food with Selcon to help build up their immunity tolerance to help fight diseases. I had to use it on my Yellow Tang a while back and it worked effectively. What kinds of food are you feeding them?

As far as a disease in the tank, you may need to quarantine the fish and leave the main tank empty for several weeks to kill off any bacteria that may be in there.

Mike,
Thanks for the reply. My queen angel and a damsel just died. I am feeding them a mixture of prawn, krill, pure veggie, pellets and flakes. Most of the stuff is pretty high in protein. I was puuting one drop of kent's garlic extreme on the shrimp to fight off infections but you can see how good that worked! I'll keep you posted on the others. Thanks again for the advice I appreiciate it.

Thanks, Joe

Garlic is great for the fish that won't eat, but the Selcon has worked well with me in regards to healing fish. I would try that to help them fight off any diseases they may have currently. I use it almost everyday mixed with their food.
