cleaning tank acrylic on outside
I didn't know where else to put this question, so ...
I notice whenever I dribble SW on the outside acrylic of tank and wipe it off, it leaves a cloudy haze. Anyone have any suggestions on how to properly clean acrylic on the outside of the tank? I saw at the LFS that they sold some spray for lke 10 bucks but does anyone have a homemade solution? I find that after wiping off water, I have to go back later and buff out the haze. Nate |

Why not just spray a small amount of Windex on a cloth and use it to wipe away the film?

I was always told -- with fresh-water tanks at least -- to never use cleaning fluids ie Windex on the glass.
Is acrylic different? Nate |

I was just wondering if Acrylic was different.
 I have never owned an acrylic tank. The only reason you were told to not use glass cleaners on a glass tank was fear of getting the cleaner in the water, which is why I suggest spraying the cleaner on teh rag and then wiping. Just make sure to not drop the rag in the water. |

Coralife sells a spray that works for me. I takes away that mess your talking about and prevents fingerprints from staying on your tank.

I have never heard that; never knew it could damage the acrylic.
