Removing Crushed Coral
Anyone see anyting wrong with removing like a 1-2 lbs of CC every other day or so?
Seems easier to do it this way over a longer period of time without stirring up major amounts of badstuff.

When I did it I moved all my livestock to a rubbermaid with a few powerheads. Then I removed it all at once with about a 50% water change.

That's what I would suggest, move the rock and livestock and do it all at once, you'll be glad you did!

The earlier you get it all out the better.......sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and do what has to be done.

since i am fish only would i be ok with just an inch or so of sand. From my understanding it needs to be about 3 inchs to become an active sandbed
Im just not fond of the bare bottom look but dont want a thick layer of sand at the bottom either. A nice layer just for the sandy effect would be nice i think
