I'd get a power converter with a few plug ins and 4 or 5 good size rubbermaids. Put the rock in a couple with a little water and a powerhead. Put livestock in two or three with a powerhead and move it that way.

There have been some very detailed threads posted covering moving tanks, you might want to give the search a quick go.

P.S. Here is a good one:

anemones

You might want to chill on them for a few weeks. Make sure your water parameters are good first. Do you have lighting that can support those anemones? You hadn't mentioned that before.

yeah i mean i didnt actually do any new water i actually drained water from my tank directly to the plastic cambros drove that water to the new location and poured it right back into the tank..........i had to add about 5 gallons or so of fresh water to the tank to get teh salinity back due to the fact that i hadnt topped off my tank in about a week and a half and then all the salt from around the filter and stuff was knocked back into my tank.........so its all the same water that has been in there since my tank has been running so i feel pretty safe about the parameters being ok. The only thing is the lighting..........what kind of lighting should i get just to try out that one anemone just to see if i can handle keeping stuff like that alive taking my tank to the next level???

of course i will be waiting at least 2 weeks till i do anything else with the tank i just want to let it run let the water clear up and make sure everything checks out

lighting

Well, it depends what kind of anemone you are going to get. I've seen some people get away with a 20 watt trichromatic and an actinic flourescent double fixture setup. They had atlantic anemones which don't need a whole lot of lighting and they fed them everyday. If I were you I would not skimp on the lighting because you are going to have to upgrade later anyway once you realize how cool all these corals and stuff are. The next step in price and quality of lighting would be a power compact setup. I've had any type of coral you can think of for over a year on a 55-watt trichromatic and actinic setup. My tank was even taller than you 55 gallon is if yours is standrad size. Online those run about $130 for a retrofit kit assuming you have a tank cap or canopy. Coralife is dumping prices because their manufacturer is buying up companies in order to stop losing money on the export side of things so you can pick up a 96-watt setup for pretty cheap. I just bought my 36" 96-watt retrofit for new $90 but I work at an LFS so I cheated.

Nice move with keeping all the water, not many people get that luxury.

yeah my 55 is a standard size.......so u think i can get that 90 watt retro fit kit......my tank lid is two seperatelids with a single bulb fixture over each lid and then i alost got another single actinic bulb to put across the middle in front of the two "regular" bulbs.........so if i get that fixture it will eliminate all of my single bulb fixtures?? also that anemone i was lookin at was a white anemone it was like 18 bux not too sure exactly what kind it is just saw it was rather cheap and was gonna see if i can make that one work before i went to expensive

and yeah keeping the water was pretty nice i was very happy i could do that....

retrofit

The retrofit would have to screw into a canopy or something. A lot of companies have housing that you can get with the power compact kits. Coralife, check em out. They have cheap lighting built into housing with fans and dual switches and all that jazz for less than $200. White anemone, huh? Does it have colored tips or anything? A lot of atlantics have purple tips. Some are just white though. 18 bucks, can't beat that. Get some lights and give em a shot.
