Ocean Water
I live in Wilmington NC really close to the ocean. Can i Use ocean water for water changes? How about some of the sand from the shore line? and my last post i got rid of the canister filter. Thanks guys

You most likely don't wanna use the sand from the shoreline due to pollution on the East coast. I think the sand over there is a quartz type sand anyway. As for water changes yes you can use it but there can be problems such as parasites etc. I'd say it's best to just use a salt mix atleast for peace of mind about contaminants and all the other nasties you could possibly get.
I'm in Fayetteville NC btw.
