Ammonia In Q Tank
This is my first time posting, I just started getting involved w/a saltwater system. My problem is I have a Q Tank that I put 2 tangs (powder blue, and sailfin) that have ich in. The Q tank is a 10 gal tank. I checked the ammonia level in it last night, and it read 1.0ppm. I did a 2 gal water change (with fresh sea water) last night. Tested the water this morning again it was 1.0ppm. I changed 4 gals today. Retested the water and I'm still at 1.0ppm
I'm using coppersafe by Mardel in the Q Tank. Will this effect the ammonia reading? The fish seem to be fine. They aren't showing any signs of stress. Any input would be helpful. Thanks. |
