Is it ok to put Chaetomorpha algae in show tank?
I bought some Chaetomorphaalgae but my refugium is not completely set up yet. Is it safe to put it in my tank until I get my refugium up and running? Are there any consequences for doing this?

The only problem would be if you have animals in the tank that would eat it. Most fish leave it alone unless they are quite large. Emerald crabs will eat it.

I had nice growth of it until the Emerald crabs got it. ALL GONE.

you wont have any problems with it being in the show tank, except for the formentioned hungry fish or crab.
My LFS tucks it nicely into the LR decor of the display tanks. Looks kinda cool.
