Thanks to all who helped me get my southdown sand bend and water clear!
I haven't added any critters yet. Still waiting to get to the not-so-local LFS for some live rock and fish. I have my NO lighting on about 12 hours a day with the water at 82/1.026/8.2. It's almost crystal-clear! I didn't test for ammonia/nitr?tes yet (tomorrow) as I can't get a kit locally.
Now, these orange-creamcicle colored swirls are appearing on the sandbed on some of the peaks and valleys of the sand bed. Looks like a someone took a cake-decorator and went mad! Cool colors, but what is it? It's not red or rust colored enough to be algae. Is it bateria? Or some nanoprobes? Nanites?
The sand bed looks just like an an orange creamcicle dropped on a beach and melted. Wild!
