New Anemone
Hi Guys
I just introduced a beautiful nice sized blue carpet anemone into my tank. It seems to have settled in nicely to the location I placed it in. I was hoping my two Ocellaris clowns would adopt it but havent shown any interest yet. Does anyone know if it is normal for them to ignore it at first and take to it later or is it likely that they never will? Thanks Mike |

Hi there, Michael!
![]() Most likely they will accept it, give it some time. Some clownfish like A.clarkii, for example, will jump right into just about any anemone and some, like your A.ocellaris may take some time to accept a host. Here's a link for you to read about your clownfish and their natural host anemones should be listed there as well. http://biodiversity.uno.edu/ebooks/ch2.html#ocell
