Help, worms!!

I just looked into my tank with a flashlight and noticed I have A LOT of, one to two mm white worms, about the diameter of a string, on the inside of my glass, like little maggots on the Atkins diet. The bodies are tapered with a little speck that is the head. They seem to be at the base of my glass and sort of protrude frome the sand. The ones that are one mm chase the two mm worms, sort of like little males chasing females. Any ideas as to what they may be?

You're going to see a lot of life that develops from the rock and corals one puts in a tank.
However, the odds of getting something that is harmful to your tank is very slim.
I can't tell specifically what is on the glass in your tank but as I mentioned, you shouldn't have to worry about it.
For extensive writings on the various worms you may encounter in your tank do a google search on Dr. Rob Toonen, and on Dr Ron Shimek. Actually, you will find a lot of info on even more than worms.
On Dr Ron Shimek's site you can click on "online articles" and see a list of what is available online.
Dr Rons's Site

I had a link for a list of Rob's contributions as well but I can't find where I stored it but "advancedaquarists.com" and "reefkeeping.com" are two online magazines with a lot of his articles in them. (And Dr Shimek's also)
