carbon mess

I put carbon in my filter. I rinsed it before I put it in. Now I have black powder in the tank and on the rocks. My skimmer is taking alot out but will it hurt the animals in the tank and should I remove it off the rock?

Nope won't hurt anything, just a pain to look at. Use a turkey baster to blow it off any corals, and the rocks. I would wait for the water to clear, then stir it up...
