Last night I was just relaxing watching my fish, then for no apparent reason, my maroon clown jumped out of the tank! He managed to jump out through the small space in the back where my Back Pack hangs from. There were no loud noises, nothing bumped the tank, nothing at all. Pretty quiet, all the other fish were OK and so was the clown, until it just jumped out.
I threw him in as soon as I can reach him (he was behind the tank stand) about 15 seconds out of the water. He seemed fine after about 5 minutes and this AM he was eating.
Are clown fishes known to be jumpers, or is this just a fluke? What do you guys use to cover your tanks completely? I know eels have a tendency to climb out. Never heard of clowns jumping out.
