brown spot on goby
just noticed that my diamond head goby has a brown spot on its lip hasnt got any bigger in the last couple of days. Its not acting weird or anything.Actually sometimes Ithink the goby is the center of attention in tank.It is forever moving crabs around the tank. sometimes the crab get a pinch in.
So the brown spot? cant find any info on something that looks like that. |

Uh Oh..... I just monitor this forum I am by no means a guru on fish thats for sure....I am a DIY guy.... lol
Since you mentioned he likes to move crabs around maybe he got pinched on his lip.... As mentioned elsewhere in the forum garlic helps with the immune system, so feed your fish a food with garlic. Anyway, I haven't heard any disease with brown spots but that doesn't mean it doesn't exsist. Here is a link with some common problems but doesn't mention brown spots.... http://www.aqualink.com/disease/sdisease.html#blackspot Here is where I found that link.... http://www.bellaonline.com/subjects/1948.asp I hope that helps a bit.....

I echo Greg here, I have not heard of a Brown Spot Disease.
Regardless of small markings, I like to let the fishes behavior tell me how they are doing so if it is eating and otherwise behaving normally, I would say all is well. Just keep your eye on the spot to make sure it doesn't get worse or spread. |
