I am going to set up two 10 gallon buckets for aging my tap water and salt water for top offs and water changes. I have a small pump and airstone for this process. My question is assuming I do not need to top off that much, how long can I safely leave the same tap water and same salt water to age in the buckets before I should start new water aging?
Thanks, Nikki |

I second that spend the $160 bucks and get a ro/di unit it will save you tons of money in the long run. Also get a float switch that will stop filling up your bucket after so high. but to answer your question it should be ok for a week to two or so I have a 37 gallon bucket and i fill that puppy up every 3 weeks and that last me until its time to make water again i also keep a lid on it and then i mix my salt the night before i am going to use it.
