Niger Trigger
Hi,
I have a 75 gal tank with a Regal Tang, Foxface, Clown fish and a small damsel. They get along great! If I bought a Niger Trigger that had been in a community tank at the fish store, would I be OK? I know triggers are aggressive, but I heard that the Niger is on the low end of the aggression scale. Thanks for all your help!! Aqua Man |

I think it'd be a roll of the dice, especially with the damsel and clownfish. True, it may work out. I have a rather odd combination with a strawberry basslet and a falco hawkfish, and the basslet was added second. But I got lucky. If I were attached to my fish, I wouldn't chance it. What kind of fish was the trigger in with at the store? Is it an adult or a juvenile? A juvenile may be tame now, and as it grows its personality may or may not change.

Our female A. ocellaris has become very aggressive over the last few weeks. She got ahold of my hand pretty good this past weekend!
![]() As for the trigger, I think that you would probably be ok since the trigger is being introduced after the other fish. It might be a little risky. |
