Need Help With Blenny

I have a scooter Blenny and he is not eating anything. Today I saw his/her underside and he/she had a concaved stomach. Why won't my blenny eat? I am really starting to worry now. I was wondering if I should give my blenny to my aunt that has a 150 gallon tank. Will he/she do better in a bigger enviroment? He/she is only about 2 inches. Is there any particular food it would eat? I know Blenny's typically eat algae but this one doesn't even seem to be sand silting.

Which "scooter blenny" do you have?

That common name is used for about ten different species of fish and NONE of them are even blennies. Most are dragonets. They feed on microcrustaceans in the wild. Try some Cyclop-Eeze and see if that grabs its attention -- assuming you can get some of the Cyclop-Eeze to settle down to the bottom of the tank.

The "scooter blennies" that I got when I was new to the hobby all met an unfortunate end because they wouldn't eat. I haven't gotten one since, because I decided that whatever they ate, wasn't in my tank! A pic may help the knowledgeable reefers here get a definitive id, and nail down the right diet.

I purchased 2 scooter blennies when I was starting out also. I trusted my LFS to tell me what was okay to put in my newly cycled tank. Later, after joining some sites like this one, I learned that these scooters needed to eat Pods which are only present in mature tanks. I felt terrible and was sure they were going to die. One person suggested I try frozen Mysis shrimp. I didn't really know what this was, but I rushed to the first store that said they had some. It worked for mine! They both ate it right away. I've had them both for over a year now & they are a mated pair. I will never trust another LFS to tell me what I need to know again. They just want to sell you stuff. I'm not sure if this will work for yours, but it might be worth trying. Good luck with it!!!

Well unfortunately guys, my scooter blenny starved. I tried my best and became pretty angry at the LFS. I also learned the next day that these blennies requie a mature tank at least a 70 gallon tank, with about 100 lbs of live rock and sand. My Scooter Blenny would refuse to eat anything.
