anyone ever put 2 different puffers together?

Hi all! I am wondering if anyone has ever tried this... my lfs told me that it shouldn't be a problem, but I am nervous. I have an 80 gallon tank with a dog faced puffer (he is pretty big), a snowflake eel, 2 clown fish, 1 hawkfish, a chocolate chip star, and I am getting a squirrel fish tomorrow. there is also a purcupine puffer that they have that my husband has fallen in love with, but I don't want a fight!
thanks!

Yeah it sounds like your pretty full which might cause all of the fish to be more aggressive than normal. I would skip it.

I too would have to say to not take a chance with it. Puffers can be pretty aggressive or territorial (sp?) if you mix them. I have heard of it being done with success, but I don't think I would attempt this myself.

I have had my porcupine puffer and my dog face puffer together in the same tank for over a year and they get along great, they are buddies now i wouldn't be so sure of other puffers like the sharpnose or not but these two are no problem... Porcupine puffs are adorable........ He's puffy and the dog face is YODA.. OH yeah they also live with a V.lion and snowflake eel and a toad, lipstick tang....

Sounds like a good excuse to get a bigger tank!
