possible breakthrough.....

Okay, I totally forgot about the 3 damsels I have in my tank.... they are still alive and fine. I never did find the bodies of the 2 fish that dissapeared, just the puffer. I just assumed that the bodies were in behind the rocks or something, well yesterday I took every thing apart, and no bodies. I have also had no raising of amonia, or anything else as I would expect if there were dead things hanging around in there. Plus the damsels are fine, so I don't think it is disease. I think the snowflake eel has ate all my fish. What do you guys think about that? If that is the case I am taking him back to my fish lady (I don't have a fish store in my area, just a lady that does it out of her home) let me know....

An eel will eat whatever will fit in his mouth. You may be right

I certainly wouldn't be surprised. If the shoe fits...

Talk about mixed metaphors! Eating fish that will fit in it's mouth... and "If the shoe fits..." !!! <having a mental image of someone with his foot in his mouth>

I am quite sure that the eel ate the clown and hawkfish, that is probably why my poor puffer got stressed leaving him succeptible to the ick. I got a bigger squirrelfish, and a big tomato clown, and they are both seeming healthy and fine.... and if I can ever catch him, the eel is going back to my fish lady. I don't want to spend $25 on meals for him! Anyways, thanks for all your help!
