Saddle Valentini Puffer
Will a Saddle Valentini Puffer eat a starfish or are there certain kinds it will only eat?
Will Valentini Puffers try and eat medium sized to larger hermit crabs (not the giant ones)? thanks

, i have never tried a choco chip starfish tho.as far as hermit crabs , i did sometimes see him mess around with my little snails, and they misteriously dissapeared, and on the bigger snails i have yet to see him pick on them.. but i have a feeling that the puffer will pick on a hermit crab if he gets curious. |

im pretty sure he would, i tried putting in a coral banded shrimp , and the puffer wouldnt leave it alone and in return got his little flaps messed up, but he healed fas tand theyre perfect, oh ! and i have no shrimp now, except for him to munch on
ive thought about getting an arrowhead and i almost special ordered one, but i dindnt cause i knew as a fact my valentini puffer would fight . |

Would the puffer kill it or just mess with it. Is there any other type of crabs(not hermit ones) that they wouldn't mess with?

let me just say he eats good size shrimp as food. i would try some hermit cleaner crabs , but i like the snails, they get the job done.On my next tank , i definately not have a valentini or any puffer that eats crabs or shrimps or some corral:slap:.. which means not puffer at all. but as far as crabs to mix , i honestly dont know which one he will eat..uhh.errrr.. i mean uhh.. get along with. Well is there any reef safe fish that is non-aggressive that has as much personality as a puffer or a triggerfish.

A Naso tang is way too big for my 55 gallon. I think I am just going to stick to my puffer.

Valentini puffers all have different personalities. Mine leaves ALL of the inverts alone. I've had him for about 18 months and I've never seen him go after anything but the food I provide, even when the lights go off.

No, but I do have hermit crabs and true crabs, and neither are bothered.

Do any of you think you could have a valentini puffer or any other puffer in a 12g Nanocube?
