Rock Beauty Angel vs. Black Ribbon EEL

I have this very freindly rock beauty (bi-color yl & blk )angel & two ribbon eels, one is an adult blue 38" long and the other is a black juv. 24" and yes I know! I am not advicating that its ok to buy ribbon eels they are extremely hard to care for, I kind of adopted these guys & they are doing great. The problem is the angel doesn't like the blk & yl. Juvenile eel. As soon as the eel comes out of his leer, the angel bites the shi*t out of him for no apparently for no reason, anybody have any idea why the R-B Angel would doe this? the blue guy is free to rome the tank.....

Fish will often display aggressive behavior towards other fish of the same or similar coloration. That could be the problem. If your juvenile ribbon eel is already 24" long, it should be close to changing coloration, so hopefully things will improve after that.
