i am curious about my tank water. it is very cloudy and almost a green tint to it. i am running my skimmer and have done some water changes but nothing seems to be working on clearing it up. i would like to be able to see my fish again. i have had this tank for over a year now and this is the first time this has happened to me. if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this problem could you please let me know. thanks

Try using carbon in the filter for several days. I use it in my FOWLR regularly, one week with, one week without. The tank remains crystal.

Have you had a recent ,,,occurence,,,death , change in water source , added something new? Also , how long has it been since you changed your light bulbs? Did you adjust your light schedule lately? These are all things that could cause your green murky water.

We recently changed the crushed coral to sand bed. The lfs suggested maybe we didn't rinse the sand well enough. Have done some water changes, hasn't helped. All levels are WNL. So far no casualties. Added a carbon filter this morning to see if this would help. Protein skimmer is skimming more than normal. Any other suggestions??
