A source of alkalinity (also known as buffer). Measure your calcium and alkalinity and make sure you keep them at recommended levels.

Beyond calcium and alkalinity, it depends on who you ask... most literature about anemones says to add iodine. Many people on this forum claim it is not necessary if you change water frequently, and feed your fish (food contains some iodine). I add iodine (according to the directions on the bottle). I did get worried about buildup, so I got a test kit, and the iodine always remains on the low side in my tank, so I add the stuff. I'm sure others on here will give other opinions.

A good rule of thumb though, is that if you don't measure it, you might think twice about adding it.

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

Save your money!
Maintain alk and calcium levels and do water changes.
Don't add anything you can't test for to know it's low.
Iodine test kits are notoriously innacurate.
I do water changes to LOWER trace elements in my tanks.
Every time you feed your tanks, you add all kinds of trace elements, including iodine, and, unfortunately, bad items like phosphates as well.
