Dead Boxfish Help Please! |

Ok, woke up this morning to a dead boxfish. The toxin it released killed my blue tang, my bicolor goat fish, and has seriously hurt my naso and porcupine fish. The huma and the emperor angel both seem to be doing quite well, oddly enough. I took the naso and the porcupine out and put them in a quarentine. (like 5 minutes ago) Should I remove the other 2 fish? They show NO signs of stress.
Help me please. |

I don't know if you should take them out or not at this point but I do know that you should be running carbon right now and you should have done a massive water change as soon as possible--perhaps 50%.
Good luck, Ninong ------------------ Irrational Exuberance! |

I lost the naso a few minutes ago. The trigger and angel are still in the main tank, with NO abnormal behavior. I fed them and they ate like the usual pigs they are. The angel is cruising around picking at algae on the back glass, same as usual. I replaced the old carbon about 30 minutes ago.
The water change will happen between 5 and 8 pm tonight.. I have 100 G of salt coming then. I'll keep you all informed. Scott |
