New live rock

Please excuse my ignorance, but I am new to saltwater aquariums. I am truly addicted and trying to learn as much as I can. My set up is a 29 galloon with 10lbs live rock. It has been in the tank for 4 days to start the cycling process. I have recently noticed this white stuff growing. The best way that I can describe it is it looks like a white bread mold. I also have a spot thats a true pink color. Is this normal.

Yes, this is normal for curing rock. You are going to notice some of the strangest looking stuff you can imagine before its fully cured. The white mold looking stuff will sometimes become stringy as well, but will soon pass with time. Make sure you check your water parameters on a regular basis while your rock is curing. Watch your ammonia and nitrite levels they will rise. Water changes will help to bring down the high levels. Also, make sure you have adequate circulation over your rocks. For now, just sit back, watch, and enjoy.
