Talking Clean Up Crew

I have a newly established 29 galloon tank with 14lbs of live rock. I also have a penguin 200 filter with a bio wheel. I also added 10lbs live sand and 10lbs of some sort of live crushed coral. After 5 days I am getting quite a bit of brown algae. I was needing advice on what kind of clean up crew will be needed when the tank is done with its cycle. Is there anything else filter wise that I might need to add. The fish I plan on purchasing is a dwarf flame angel, some type of clown. I would like to a 1 or 2 more only any suggestions will be helpful. I am going to start out slow but when u get the fever its hard to be patient.

Here's a nice article on cleaning crews from one of our moderators:

By the way, I started with snails and hermit crabs... the crabs have been banished to my sump because of the carnage they cause in the snail population (in addition to walking all over corals, and knocking stuff over at random).

I would add about another 10 lbs of live rock, about 1lb per gallon. Then you can probably ditch the Penguin. You might want to add a HOB skimmer in the future to aid in removal organic wastes. As for your cleaner crew, I use a mix of snails about 1 snail for every 5 gals of water. Some people mix crabs and snails, and this is fine, just be prepared to buy more snails later on down the road, for the crabs tend to compete with them for the shells. Good luck with your new system.
